The West Edgecombe Middle School Drama Club recently held a three-night performance of the play "Man of the House." Teacher Jessica Powell directed the play with Katy Hachey and MaLisa Herring. Parents and community members attended the performance in the West Edgecombe Auditorium.

"Man of the House" is a humorous story about a smooth-talking burglar who gets more than he bargained for when breaking into the home of Harry and Olive Mason. He is surrounded suddenly by the owners' estranged relatives who, absorbed in their own problems mistake the burglar for ... the man of the house.

The cast included: Robert Mayfield as the Man; Chelsia Riggs as Olive; Taylor Page as Marjorie; Tristan Brower as Ed; Marianne Medlin as Violet; Janae Johnson as the Police Officer; Shakeal Moore as Harry; Tierra Dozier as Mama; Ryan Barfield as Clyde. The crew included: Justin Caraway, Al Edwards, Carol Kennedy and Keith Lawrence.
